Our Impact

We are a small fellowship and we have been running for three years. This page says what we can show, what we cannot show yet, and how we would like to be judged.

Four numbers, each one a link. Follow any of them and you will see exactly what it counts — no number on this page is a figure you have to take our word for.

Long-term outcomes
Our first fellows started in 2023. That is not long enough to say what changed because of the fellowship rather than alongside it, and we will not claim otherwise.
Numbers of people reached
Our fellows work with their own communities and keep their own records. We do not aggregate those into a total, because a total we cannot check is not a fact.
A comparison
We do not know how these fellows would have fared without us. Saying so is more useful to you than a figure that implies we do.

How we would like to be judged

By whether the fellows we support go on doing the work — and by whether the account we give of them is one they recognise. Every story on this site was written with the fellow, and every fellow reads their story before it is published.

If something here does not hold up, we would rather hear it than not. Write to us — that page says who reads what you send.

We also measure how many people visit this website. That tells us about our own reach, not about our impact, so it is not on this page.

⛔ What this replaces. The live /our-impact/ page is a Plausible Analytics dashboard — it says the dashboard "updates in real time and shows live activity of our site". That is website traffic standing in for a fellowship's impact: a correct measurement of the wrong thing. It is also the most self-congratulatory available answer, because a rising line is read as achievement without ever claiming to be one.

The counts are real but provisional. 6 fellows and 13 stories were counted off the live About page and archive on 7 Aug 2026. Before this ships, someone inside the organisation must confirm both — the published archive may not equal the number of fellows supported, and the page must not be the first place that discrepancy appears.

⛔ Do not add a number that cannot link. That is the whole design of the figure component: [data-figure-value] is an anchor, not a span, so a figure without a destination cannot be built without deliberately breaking the markup.
